Time Stands Still When A Mother Grieves

She sees baby crying in his sleep
Winds moan sadly as angels weep
Tears fall like dew drops from the leaves
Time stands still when a mother grieves
Fate played a trick and reversed the role
Forced farewell bid to her daughter's soul
She wonders of possible unfinished tasks
"Why-why my daughter-why?", she asks
Expecting no answer and none she receives
An unjust and untimely death she believes
serves no purpose-leaves son with no mother
How can she comfort grandson or another
When her heart is shattered beyond repair
She's alone even when thousands are there
Only God in His own time and way can heal
And put back some life that death did steal
Tears fall like dew drops from the leaves
Time stands still when a mother grieves
She sees baby crying in his sleep
Winds moan sadly as Angels weep
